Buying
You submit one offer: the most you are willing to pay for the lot. Offers stay sealed while the lot is open. When it closes, our team reviews them and selects the buyer — normally the highest offer that meets the seller's reserve.
No. No offer is visible to anyone, other bidders included, while the lot is open or after it closes. There is no current highest bid, no bid counter and no bidding history on the site.
You can raise your offer at any time before the lot closes. You cannot lower it or withdraw it: an offer is a binding commitment to buy the lot at that price if it is selected.
If your offer is selected, we email you a proforma invoice for the lot, and the lot appears under Won in your account. Nobody is told what anyone else offered.
If no offer meets the seller's reserve, the lot is not sold. Our team then decides with the seller whether it returns in a future auction round.
On some lots you can use Reveal price to see an asking price, and on most you can use Ask for price to send us a question. Our team can tell you whether the seller would consider a direct sale; otherwise the lot is sold through the sealed auction.
Payment
By bank transfer to the account shown on your invoice, within 48 hours of the invoice being issued. Payments made to the seller or to anyone else are not valid unless we have confirmed them.
A proforma invoice is a request for payment, not a tax invoice. We send it first so that you can pay for the lot; the final invoice is issued once your payment has arrived.
Once your payment has been received and confirmed. It is issued under EU VAT rules — reverse charge, export or the margin scheme where they apply — and you can find it in your account.
Bank transfer to our account, as stated on the invoice. Other payment methods are not offered.
No. The full amount is due within 48 hours of the invoice. If you have a question about paying for a particular lot, contact us before you bid.
Viewing & inspection
Yes. Viewings are by appointment at the machine's location. Choose a date on the inspection page and our team confirms a time with you. A viewing does not reserve the machine.
Compare the hours, the serial number and the documents with the listing, and look at wear parts, tyres or tracks, and for leaks. Where it is safe and the machine allows it, a team member can start it for you.
Yes. Tell us in your viewing request how many people are coming.
Every listing has photographs and a description of the machine's condition, including known faults. Write to us with your questions about a lot and we answer with what we know.
Transport & delivery
Yes. Loading, delivery and insurance are arranged through our logistics partners. You can also collect the machine yourself once payment has cleared.
It depends on the machine and the destination. The shipping page shows indicative rates per country and machine type, and you can request a quote for your exact address.
Yes, from loading at the machine's location until it is unloaded at yours. Check the machine on arrival and note any damage on the delivery note before you sign.
You do. Transport outside the EU is available on request, but import duties, taxes and customs clearance at the destination are the buyer's responsibility. For a VAT-free export, the export documents must reach us within 30 days of payment.
It depends on the distance, the machine and the carrier's schedule. Your transport quote includes an estimated delivery window.
Selling
Contact us, or use the request form on the services page. We talk the machine through with you before anything is listed, and we can photograph and film it on site.
It depends on the machine and the services you need; contact us and we explain the terms for your machine. If you use our photo service and the machine sells through BodemexBid, part of that cost is credited back at settlement.
Yes. Most lots carry a reserve: the lowest price you will accept. It is never shown to bidders, and a lot that closes below it does not sell.
If a lot closes without any offers, it can be put up for auction again. If it received offers but none met your reserve, we discuss the options with you before anything happens.
