How it works
Four steps from creating an account to collecting a machine. The whole thing rests on one rule: nobody sees anybody else's offer until the lot closes.
Create an account
Registration is free and takes a minute. You will need a working email address to confirm it; companies can add their VAT number and billing details at the same time, so an invoice does not hold up collection later.
Find a machine
Filter by category, brand, year, hours and location. Every listing carries the specification, the photographs, the closing time and whatever documents the seller has provided. Ask for a price or a question on any lot — you do not need an account to ask.
Place your offer
Enter the most you are willing to pay. Your offer is sealed: it is stored and shown to nobody, and no counter, chart or notification reveals what anyone else has offered. Bid what the machine is worth to you, because there is no second round.
The lot closes
At the closing time the lot stops accepting offers and they are opened together. The highest offer that meets the reserve wins, and the winner is emailed the invoice and the collection details. Everyone else is told the lot has closed and nothing more.
Nobody sees your number
Not other bidders, not the seller before closing, and not the page you are looking at. There is no “current highest bid” anywhere on this site while an auction is open, because publishing one is what turns a sealed auction into an open one.
The reserve is hidden
Most lots carry a reserve — the lowest price the seller will accept. It is never shown, and a lot that closes below it does not sell. If your offer was the highest but under the reserve, we will usually come back to you.
You may raise, not lower
You can replace your offer with a higher one at any time before the lot closes. You cannot lower it and you cannot withdraw it, because an offer that could be taken back is not an offer.
